Supercute Easy Ideas Number One!

Well I for one love to recycle jam/jelly jars, mason jars, basically if it was once in the fridge and made of glass I save it and use it!  I usually clean my glass jars in the dishwasher and remove the labels and I have an entire cabinet set aside to store them.  I use them for organizing my beads/supplies, hand mixing and dying glitters for my pixie dust necklaces, my daughters love to grab a jar and fill it with water and stuff them full of wildflowers, and now today I was looking for a candle holder and found myself digging through my jar cabinet and pulling out one of my favorite jam jars.  I was going to put a tealight inside but the botton of the jar has a slight "bubble" to it.  I was sitting at my desk looking for a votive holder and then I saw my bag of beach sand (usually reserved for my pirate's treasure bottles!) and filled my jar up about 1/3 and then pushed my tealight into it.  Voila!!!  I pulled a seashell out of a jar on my endless bookshelves and now my tabletop is complete!

Tinkertastic!

Here are some fabulous ideas for a "Tinkertastic" Tinkerbell birthday party!

First things first, you will need to invite your little guests in style and let them in on what fantastic fun is ahead, here is an adorable invitation

Then you will need to dress your little fairy, here is a beautiful tutu in lime and pink, complete with matching headband that would be absolutely perfect for your Tinkerbell.

As for party favors - well if the wands and tutus aren't enough for your toddler ~ is there such a thing as to much Tinkerbell? Here are few finds on etsy!

Let them eat Cake!!!!
This cake is amazing, stunning, gorgeous, and I'm pretty sure it's not easy to make, but hey someone out there may want to try!

Here is a great alternative to a cake ~ cupcakes!  This would also be a fantastic birthday party activity, you could have the cupcakes ready to go ~ even frosted green, and then have plenty of the flower cookies and ladybugs and have the guests decorate their own cupcakes!

Another cute party game for a tinkerbell party would be to do a Maypole ~ how adorable would your photos be of all the little girls (and boys) dressed up in tutus with wands running around the maypole!?!?

Party Preparations Are Under Way!

Tomorrow is my youngest daughter's 2nd bithday and the preparations have begun!  For her party it is all about Donald Duck!  I purchased a vintage Donald Duck wilton cake pan online and just popped her Funfetti cake in the oven, as soon as it is finished I will be putting in a batch of double fudge chocolate cupcakes -yummy!  As the preparations go I will add in some  new posts and pictures, my day however, will be interupted by her 2 year checkup, bringing my father-in-law to physical therapy, and hitting the grocery store at some point to figure out what are guests will eat, we were going to grill out but the weather is not going to cooperate so on to plan b - not that there is one!

My Princesses

The first thing that my oldest daughter Lauren thinks of when she wakes up in the morning is that she needs her accessories.  At least one necklace, a headband (or crown if available), and a ring are a must to start her day.  If she can get a princess dress on before breakfast she's golden.  And then there's Riley... she wakes up lazy and cuddly but as soon as she gets downstairs and sees her sister all dressed up she too must quickly be adorned as the princess she truly is - all the while clutching donald duck, curious george, and her pillow...
